I'm using Paragon Drive Backup 9.0 Workstation on a windows XP SP2 box.

Everytime I click the "archive" tab within the program interface I get a crash of "launcher.exe" (see attached).

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

If you click where it says "click here" in blue - that may describe the problem.

I had exactly the same problem. It is a known issue with certain card reader drivers on some computers. They have a fix....go fill out a support ticket at the paragon website and they will fix you up. It worked completely for me.

    Hi capaneus,

I'm sorry for the inconvenience you have encountered.

This problem was discovered and fixed in Drive Backup 8.5, but it seems to have reappeared in the latest build of Drive Backup 9. The issue is caused by card readers or other removable devices that don't have any media installed. Normally the application would detect it as a blank device, but it is causing problems with the latest version.

To solve the problem, you will either need to revert to the previous build of Drive Backup 9, or disconnect the device in question.

In order to send you the previous build download links we will need you to contact us directly. Please call 1-888-347-5462 (option 2, option 1) to request these.
