    hi there i have ppmv10, one hard drive with 3 partitions;

    - c: OS and other applications,
    - d: documents/ media
    - e: for backup
    ................................
    What i want to know is what the best way would be to update partion C: into partition e:?

    But i want to make it so i don't need a recovery cd. i want it so if my OS crashes i can boot from the backup partition on E: to recover C:
    any help please?

    Hello fitz06,

    You can create a "Backup Capsule" and then backup the c: partition to it. The "Backup Capsule" will allow you to designate one of the "F" or function keys to boot directly to the recovery environment.

    Partition Manager does not allow you to create the "Backup Capsule" but, once you have one created, you can backup up to it as a destination.

    You can download the any demo version of Drive Backup, Hard Disk Manager, or System Backup 2010 and install and create the Backup Capsule.

    I Attached some screenshots that should help.
