My antivirus is due for renewal soon. I have come across the idea of cloud technology. Which antiviruses offer cloud based detection methods in addition to signature and heuristics ?

    Norton Antivirus 2010
    Panda Antivirus 2010
McAfee VirusScan 2010 (not out yet)
    Trend Micro Antivirus 2010

These four are the ones I can think of right now. There are probably more out there, but I don't know about them.

    MSE uses cloud I believe.

While it has heuristics, it doesn't have local signatures. The OP stated he wanted cloud+signatures+heuristics.

He said he wanted signatures, he didn't specify local signatures.

    I believe you are correct.

Also, Immunet Protect uses the cloud.

Antivirus applications that use cloud technology are obviously using signatures. I believe what the OP wanted was a combination of cloud technology and traditional signature-based security; Prevx is a pure cloud-based security.

Whilst they don't currently offer local signatures, v4 is slated to include some form of local database for offline situations.

As Prevx 3.0 has been deliberately designed to work alongside other security software, one option would be to combine the paid version of Prevx with a conventional free antivirus that has local signatures.

Please understand that I'm not recommending Prevx, just suggesting another option for consideration. Prevx is one of the pioneers of cloud-based security and may therefore be of interest to the OP, given the context of his original post.

That is a good idea--using Prevx alongside a traditional antivirus. I use Prevx myself and found that it is usually enough to cover all the bases; I've got a couple of on-demand scanners for second opinions. And I do agree with you regarding Prevx's work in cloud-based security. Their implementation is easily one of the best out there currently.

I think who has a large number of users, who takes part in Cloud.

I don't know why Kaspersky haven't taken part in Cloud. It only wants to depend on its powerful definition?

Thats for data collection (somewhere unknown/suspicious files are submitted to) not detection. Detections are still downloaded via updates.

    It's Kaspersky Security Network.

I believe their cloud operation is in the form of the Dynamic Signature Service:
