ESET website hacked/gaping security hole?

    If any of this has any merit, I'm sure ESET is well aware and is working diligently to address the issue.

    Nevertheless, it is still worrying that there has been no official word since this thread started. My sub runs out in the next month or so, may be tempted to trial MSE

    Eset's protection has always been reliable and rated well on tests. Microsoft's product is a beta and it rated low average. Also considering Microsoft's security track record, it would seem ironic that you trust them with antivirus protection considering its also their OS.
