Does anyone know of a simple guide with screenshots to configure sandboxie to its best? Would be nice to use this and no AV software.

    Same here.

Was impressed early on but back came the dark gremlins again and the Custom Rules in the latest released version for me don't even work as suggested after you enter them. :thumbd:

Installed EQS 4.0, and now have a much broader and dependable coverage again as well as more areas of engagements against malware tricks.

TF failed some of my oldest HIPS tests like the APM (Advanced Process Modification) tool. Clicked to "inject" a test DLL and TF (LATEST VERSION) allowed it to bite right in without so much as a whimper.

EQS and for that matter MAMUTU would jumped all over that type of activity in a flash.

I'm almost finished with waiting on ThreatFire programmers to do something exciting with it since it's taken well over a year just for PC Tools to add a Kill Process and inserted some small rules by default, but a clever malware would eat it's way right thru TF in a heartbeat IMO.

Sorely dissappointed in TF right now.

yep, this version seemed hopeful for me, but the same old TF came back after some use, the bugs and issues came flowing in as with every other TF release... least mamutu is reliable.

    Unbelievable isn't it. :ouch:

For pity sakes, they could take an old EQS freeware HIPS, break it down section by section, and draw plenty enough pointers out of it to make ThreatFire a viable security componant IMO.

Theres no excuse in going all this time only to end up with what little it has to offer in the way of solid protection and expect folks to look at their MARKETED PRO VERSION? of the same app?

    Phewwww! Pfffffft!

Today I'm playing with four very, very old friends: Win 98 SE, Opera, Kerio 2.1.5, The Proxomitron, and one (just) very old friend -- BD 10 free with COMPLETE install (AND IT DOES WORK FOR WIN 9x/ME AS AN ON ACCESS, EMAIL, P2P, TRANSFER/DOWNLOAD scanner WITH a modicum of registry protection but for Win 9x only. No REALTIME.)
