XP users might like to exercise caution before installing. I was thinking of doing so, but now wonder if it's wise.

Any XP users here tried it yet, if so any probs ?

Here's a note from someone who did.

    Quote -

    " Angel

If you are an XP user, don’t download it. I got shutdown problem when installing it. My shutdown was not functioned. After removing it, it functions normally. I reinstalled again to test whether this software is the cause, and yeah, I got again the problem. I removed it again. "

Hello to all, I'm new on this board...

I downloaded this little software a few days ago and it seems to be very promising: Simple and very easy to use (nothing to set, just use the default "Power GUARD" mode).

As some of You already said, it warns You very often maybe
You're right, but "too much" is better than "not enough" (in security domain a least) :)

For those who get the -shutdown bug-, just close it before turning off your computer (right-click on the taskbar PE GUARD icon then click on "Exit").

    See You...

    Hi y'all
    Thx all for your posts.

    First:
    THE PROGRAM IS 100% CLEAN.
    you can see this:
    http://www.softpedia.com/progClean/PE-GUARD-Clean-138558.html
I am not a black-hat hacker, but ethical hacker :).
Also, my old domain registration expired :(, and I don't have money now :( . (poor man :ouch: ).

    Anyway:
After reading your posts, I've fixed the shutdown-bug.
another bugs were fixed. I think it's better to download it again.
    and sorry for that..

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/PE-GUARD.shtml

I've to mention that the object of this program is to protect your PE (Portable Executable) files like .exe/.dll/..
So install it after you are sure that your computer is 100% clean from viruses..

any suggestions/notes/bug-notifications will be welcome and I am waiting for your responds:)

    Great Forum:).
    Best Regards.
    Opaida.

    Hello everybody,

Just tried the update and it's confirmed here : The -shutdown bug- doesn't occur anymore ! Thank You !

    (Stupid) suggestions :

    1.) A way to manage the permissions/revocations.
Maybe in the "pegconfig.ini" file but, as jmonge said in a previous post, it remains empty...

2.) An option to enable/disable the "REVOKE WRITE ACCES" timer.

In any case, thanks a lot for this useful and powerful software !

As i was installing with TotalInstall, as usual, the selections for various options were missing ?

So it installed to the default location, rather than where i would have chosen to put it.

Anyway so far nothing to report, all quiet on the western front. It'll be interesting to see what transpires from now on.
