The best of luck with your new job, Patrik :)

Our company got WebSense back in January of this year and at first I was kind of skeptical of it as we have tried web filters before. But over the months I noticed that our malware cleaning of the clients had dropped down to almost nil now. I can concentrate on hardware repair now more without the tedious malware cleaning. That little box in the server room (a Lenevo Linux desktop with WebSense installed) has made me and the SysAdmin's life a lot easier!

[However I still have to clean employees personal computers they bring from home though, lol]

I've just installed F-Secure 2010 and i'm pleasantly surprised with the product.
It run so light and there are no slow downs. Compared with F-Secure 09 there is an big improvement. While 09 version was making slowing, this new version looks very promising.
    So far very good.

I've been trying the FSIS 2010 on a laptop of mine and I am impressed! It has one of the cleanest GUI's I've seen with easy to understand prompts on detection. I think I'll put this on my mom's computer.

Why does it leave behind parts of malicious files after cleaning? FSIS seems to remove parts (the guts) of the file leaving behind remnants. Why not completely vaporize the malware?

I stopped using FS several years ago due to the slow loading, and scanning. I have a license for both the AV and suite so I have installed FSIS on both computers.
So far it is running well, and is a big improvement over the previous versions. I think 2006 was the last version. I find 2010 faster and lighter.

I had been disappointed in FS performance on AVC tests. However it has improved to the extent that I am satisfied with detection rates.

FS has "found" a couple of viruses that Kaspersky, Avira, Avast, SAS, and MBAM did not find. It removed them, but I could not learn what they were. Frankly I think they were FP, but since they were removed I cannot check further. When I tried to get details even FS did not know what they were.
I am not sure how to get more info on what FS finds. It is much harder than with Kaspersky.
Maybe I just don't know how to do it.

So far I am pleased, and we'll see how it performs.

    Regards,
    Jerry

has anyone installed F-Secure Internet Security 2010 on netbook 10.1? if so, how it behaves? primarily interested in me because of two things: low-resolution screen and poor performance of the Intel Atom 1.6

that my friend, is the difference in dropping Kaspersky and adding Bitdefender. Last year F-Secure was like lightning, now a tad slower.

I installed F-Secure Antivirus 2010 and am really happy with it. One problem I've had, though, is that it won't run a scheduled scan. It worked when I first installed the program, but now I have to do my scans manually.

    Any suggestions or solutions?

    Thanks for your help!

    Rick

Contact their tech support. Go ahead and use the Fsecure support tool to create the file to send to tech support because the will likely ask you to do that anyway.
