    Hi all,

Yep, I am leaving F-Secure in about a week's time and we'll definitely have one or a few people from F-Secure checking in here to help out.

It's been a true pleasure being part of this forum and I wish you all the best in the future.

    Patrik

    Many thanks, Patrikr.
I am looking forward to the results since FS has long been one of my favorites.

Regards and hope the new job is all you hoped it would be.

Haven´t been here for so long but many thanks for your informative answers!

Could you please before you leave follow up on the most recent discussions, foremost the one concerning the process kills which I think worries some of us?

    Regards,
    Joakim

patrikr is a stand-up guy. He had brought F-Secure from the back room here to the living room. He is going to be missed by F-Secure, but they will move on, and whom ever gets him, just made a very positive move.

Patrikr, we did not always agree, but you are a friend and I thank you for the way you openly dealt with members here. You will prosper, it is in the stars.;)

    Patrik,

As a new F-Secure customer, I am sad to see you leaving already. Your posts here and in the F-Secure forums have been very informative for me as I started using F-Secure 2010. I also found the FSlabs youtube videos with you and Mikko very informative as well. You'll definitely be missed and I want to wish you all the best in your new adventures!

    Darrell

Thanks everyone for the nice words and comments. 14 years is a long time at a company and that's how long I've been with F-Secure. It's been a blast, that's for sure and I wish them all the best.

I'm going to Websense which means my focus will be a bit different but still 100% security.

The fix for the process termination is ready but still undergoing internal testing. Checking on the schedule for release now but should be available in the ISTP update channel soon and then a few days later in the IS/AV2010 update channel. Will confirm when I know more.

A fix has been released today (IS2010-MF01 in the log), and sure enough, I am now unable to stop any process related to FSIS 2010 with Deepguard popping up every time. Kiitos, F-Secure and Patrikr! (means thank you in Finnish).

The MRG-test in another post here at Wilders gives us a hint that this time around, this suite packs a heavy punch and I really would like to see it regaining its old nick, "the Rolls-Royce of security suites".

    Regards,
    Joakim

Yep, the fix was released today and good to hear that confirmation that it works as intended. If anyone is still able to kill processes with DeepGuard enabled, pls let us know.

no, i mean virus defs update for FSIS/FSAV 2010 (.zip/.exe format). so user that dont have internet connection can download virus defs update from internet cafe and then update their FSIS/FSAV 2010 at home using it.

Not that I'm with F-Secure anymore but here you go :)
    http://download.f-secure.com/latest/fsdbupdate9.exe

Note, this is *ONLY* for what is called PSC9 which is the same as AV/IS2010

I'm glad to see you back at Wilders Patrick. Anyway, do you have any idea when F-secure client security 9 will be available?

Take care and God bless you.
