Ofcourse it's an Antivirus. It's painted all over the link you showed :D

^ Isn't it funny they they score 100% :) Maybe it has something to do with using their malware samples? :argh:

IMO, I won't even bother trying this.. I don't agree with companies that try to trick or fool users.

yeh i dont like that kind of thing, showing a chart with the big name brands like kaspersky getting like 70%, and them getting 100%, sounds way too good to be true, wouldnt touch it, theres plenty of good enough free av's out there.

The Cleaner/MooSoft has been around for several years. In the old days, The Cleaner was primarily anti-trojan. I agree that the chart on MooSoft's website is VERY off-putting. :cautious:

It would be nice if someone (not me!) gave The Cleaner a test run to get a more objective feel of how it TRULY performs -- for auld lang syne, perhaps.

Not shocked at all, old, thoroughly honorable program.
Like Spybot, long in the tooth, but still able to rise to
the occasion.(with a little help from its Friends,ie developers)

That is of course if you ment The Cleaner detected and removed Anti-Vrus 2010 Pro,and not the other way around!!

Besides the fact that any test result showing Avira at 15% detection rate is very dodgy, this is a long-standing product that has some usefulness.

To be fair seven of the samples are very new and not hit by many others.

The Cleaner is not an antivirus program!
Never was. It apparently evolved from an anti-trojan to an antimalware program since I last used it.

I have the paid version and It doesn't detect anything on my box even if I have some malware .exe in my download folder and do a scan on the folder. So I would have to say it's there but I don't know why lol
