Hey can someone tell me how to setup winroute so that i can use mirc with it? I had to completely stop the firewall just so i could get onto irc.

Since "security software" is a subset of the set "software", and this is a forum dedicated to security software, I believe you would get a more helpful response if you started with a Google search on "mirc ports", and then listed the ports required for mirc to function in your post.

With this information, I am sure the Winroute experts here will be coming out of the woodwork to assist.

So I guess we can't help this fellow besides referring him to a few arcane articles, I attempted to install WinRoute to check this out but I Could not even get the firewall to allow me to access the internet. I guess I was perfectly safe however. The fourm seems filled with people who after installing have all kinds of problems accessing any type of special service even facebook. How about trying another firewall? There are all kinds of nice free ones available & they don't cost 240 plus dollars & most of them are made for Home users & are far more user friendly. I think this is more of a business firewall not intended for home use & especially not for use with IRC clients.

    I guess not. :(

I am somewhat familiar with Winroute, but I am not familiar with MIRCs port requirements, and I most certainly won't go Googling for details on a product which I do not use, especially when the OP refuses to do so for him/herself.

Why should it be surprising that the intersection of the set "Winroute Users" and the set "mIRC Users" has a limited membership?

I think your right about Kerio WinRoute users & IRC & I'm not going to spend any more time on trying to get a firewall I don't much care for & IRC to work. I personally don't think that this really is the best forum for help with that firewall. They do HAVE AN OFFICIAL help forum after all. WinRoute is also very expensive compared to one of the ones I normally use which mostly are free.
