I have to agree, unfortunately. While I certainly appreciate letting us know there are still some free ones out there, the free VPN/Anonymous surfing world seems to be drowning in snake oil, and, in the case of Ultrasurf, danger.

Is it from the same company?

Xerosurf looks as classic php web proxy script. I guess that only similarity between both service is in name and nothing else.

Well, everyone here remembers the case of FP (False Positive) between McAfee and 'Process Lasso', which languished for months without any sensible decision ...

McAfee is marred by many similar cases of FP for years - not just recently.

McAfee's reputation is very low in my eyes.

    Bureaucracy - STAY AWAY.

Sorry but i can not agree here at all. Both are variables checker and they are far away from calling it 'good proxy checker'.

Use free proxy program like Charon to test proxy servers with STAN (Stan
The standalone judge) if you would like to check proxies and forget terrible url's above.

If you would like to test variables with good proxy checker as part of testing that check most common proxy ports then try:

If it is fast (and it seems to be fast) and you are satisfied then you can use it for surfing.

Only what i care about is to not enter any sensible information's like login/pass, CC, paypal etc... behind proxy server or any other proxy service.
For every day surfing it does not matter.

    Hi Guys.. :)

The XeroSurf privacy shield site is a new secure web proxy from B.I.S.S..

Xerosurf.com is not intentionally related to, or influenced in any way by Xerobank. It's more of a twist on one of our old forum moderators names XeroGrid .. ;)

Currently it's based on a licensed Glype script and the site is being expanded into being a comprehensive Proxy Security Center.

Unlike most common web proxies we do not force popups / ads etc onto people for using our proxy. We also try to actively block ads and malicious sites inside the users proxified browsing session. Overall, there's one google ad on the homepage and that's it.

Our Xerosurf blacklist grows daily so that our users who aren't very technical minded can still have some degree of protection against all the garbage waiting to infect them. Advanced users can play with the extra proxy settings to control scripts and objects etc..

I have a regularly updated basic proxy guide here if anyone is interested in more proxy information.
    www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=56

Good advice. Proxies of any kind should never be trusted with your private confidential information, especially bank logins etc.

On the other side I've heard of people having their paypal and google adsense accounts shutdown for logging in through a proxy as well.
