If I renew my NIS 2009 subscription which is due soon and then IS 2010 is released which I suspect will be fairly shortly, will I get a free update to that version? Their are some really good ebay NIS 2009 activation key renew deals right now and I'm sure when 2010 is released, the activation deals will at least initially be more expensive so I'd rather buy the 2009 upgrade now, providing I am sure I will be able to use the same key on a 2010 release.

Yes you are entitled to a free upgrade as soon as NIS2010 is released. The same key will work.

So far all the norton licenses have free upgrades to next version. Used a NIS 2006 key for my 09 edition. Btw, the 2010 version is really great - you will be pleased ;)

Thanks for the replies. As mentioned, there are really great NIS code buys on ebay and plenty of them. The sellers all claim they are "authentic" and I hope they are as I've bought a few of them for myself and friends over the past year or so.

Yeah I've bought some in the past year as well. I doubt that they are legit. When you go and register them its usually from another country. My registration page was in german and someone from Idaho had paid for them.
