Today my v437 has stopped updating, throwing up what it calls an 'undocumented serious error'.

Never had this before, any suggestions as to what has gone wrong please? (XP )

Super fast reply, many thanks. Clearing the cache worked. I'll know what to do now if it happens again!

    Thanks again.

Hello ! There are variety of reasons for this to happen . Could you start by uninstalling v3.0 Business edition and install v4.0.437 Business edition

Geez, stop pushing the new version, it has it's own share of problems.Let him use what he wants and figure out why it's happening and fix it.thats the best solution.

    clear cache and go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\Updfiles\
to make sure nothing is in there.go to \Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus and delete:
    em000_32.dat
    em001_32.dat
    em002_32.dat
    em003_32.dat
    em004_32.dat
    em005_32.dat
    em006_32.dat
    em009_32.dat
    em013_32.dat
    mod_comp.dat

then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security\CurrentVersion\Info and delete the registry data for:
    "ScannerVersion"
    "ScannerVersionId"

Then do update with virus protection disabled temporarily.
