Strange, not here. Its quite light and I use a dated PC... unless 10-15 seconds (more) at boot is considered a delay. This could be a problem only if you boot your PC every .... lets say... 2 minutes? :)

    Have you tested it?

I am praying that that CPU and MB of RAM is WAY lower compared to 08. It is a damn shame that turning off the AV and AS on the ZoneAlarm Security Suite goes down almost 125-200MB on my system of ZAISS 08.

The AV and AS are HUGE memory hogs. I love ZA however it's such a hog. I am getting more and more happy from what I have been hearing about the upcoming ZA updates. I would rather not move to another security system however I will do what I have to do.

Not normal even in version 8, you get this consumption if your ZA is keeping scanning your system. This can happen normallly with corrupted settings, other active security tools or defrag programs.Try to add the programs running to the AV exclusions. On idle AV/AS should consume 600kb-2000kb (depending on number of processors).

The current ZA products are failing to update for several days and almost all the thread about this issue at their forum are closed? What the heck is going on with ZA?
edit; for at list 2 days no updates are completed and that must be a problem there

There is a notice all over by ZA forum moderator to contact support. If you have problems please contact them directly, they are collecting logs.

Here updates works fine since yesterday.

That answers it then because ZA 6 was notorious for having huge lag on boot-up at least 90 second in some occasions, for some even longer, it just waited and waited at the welcome screen for all its components to load. But I have tried the latest and 10 secs or less as you said

Yeap, unless you have a very old system, ZA 9 operations in general are much faster and lighter :)
