I've been using LnS for quite a while now and been happy with it so far. I am, however, missing a few not-so-necessary-but-nice-to-have features that were present in some other former firewalls i've used.

Are any of these planned or possible to add in future releases?

    - a new systray icon or is there a way for me to change it myself?
    - better info display of current connections. Kerio implemented this fantastically, what i'm missing most is a way to see how much bandwidth each connection is using. Also a way to terminate these connections from within LnS would be welcome
    - a customizable application filtering page, i really liked how i could rename apps in Kerio.

Yep, except for the connection info display, these are just for vanity but hey, one can ask right? :) Almost forgot to ask, how can i remove a WAN Miniport from my system? The Options page of LnS shows three adapters: my network card, LnS miniport and something labeled "network monitor" ...is this supposed to be present? I don't remember seeing it before.

    Hi rottenbanana,
Yes, if there is a new major version (version 3), it will be changed.

Yes, maybe a connection list per application would be available. But for bandwidth, I'm not sure.

If this is the only item, I don't think it will be changed. Why do you want to change the name ? Nobody asked for that before.

You can't remove this easily, and I don't recommend to do it, it's part of the system.

Yes, the network monitor interface appeared after a certain update.
Yes, having these 3 interfaces in the network list is usual, and there is nothing to worry about :)
If you are sure your internet connection uses systematically the network card, then you can remove the automatic selection, and force this network card to be selected.

    Regards,

    Frederic

    Frederic,

Another enhancement suggestion could be to let LnS enable only one NIC card at a time, (maybe its already possible through registry setting ?) whenever connected to a Wifi and a wired LAN card for instance.

I would appreciate my Wifi LAN card to be automatically disabled whenever my laptop is connected using the Ethernet cable to my high speed modem.

I believe there is probably now, more and more laptop usage with at least 2 NIC. Anyhow, this would save me from running twice LnS to protect all the NIC with the same firewall.

    Regards
