    Hello!

Can any privacy/anonymity expert on this board (like Steve, Kyle or any other) tell me how anonymous Freenet is?

Is it safer than Tor, or I2P, for example (anonymity wise)?

    Thank you

Hi, I dont think this question make much sense. Tor is widely used as proxy. i2p as darknet, Freenet as static content caching pool. They have different adversary and thus different security module.

If you are doing pure theoretical study, just google for their security module page and compare them under different scenario. If you are seeking the most secured file sharing tool, IMHO, no low-latency network is more secured than Freenet, especially its darknet, as long as you can put up with the speed.

The situation behind the great wall is slightly different. As now a great many of people are using tor, none of them is more secured than tor. Because you cant hide the fact that you are using these p2p network. ;)
Years ago, the great wall used to block sourceforge.net for about a year just because of Freenet. Since then freenet dimmed out in china. I also lost interest in it.
