Hi to all, and thanks in advance for the help.

I bought the Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Server for Windows and Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Universal Restore.

I installed the setup and i choose the universal restore to be installed. In the setup under agent for windows i choosed tray monitor and Universal Restore.

When i try to make the bootable device, appears a message saying that "universal restore it's not Installed. The media will be created without the restore to dissimilar hardware functionality." I made the repair to universal restore with the AcronisUniversalRestore.msi with 3269kb, but the problem persists.

What's the best procedure to install and use the Universal restore?
Is the AcronisUniversalRestore.msi the correct installation file?

The second issue it's when i make a full backup task from two different computers, of a mapped network drive, occurs the error:
Full backup failed:" End of file has been encountered"
    Error code 2
    Module 4

Thanks for the Help. I´m stucked with this two issues.

    Doubts about ACRONIS SUPPORT!!!

    Hello,

I have just purchased Backup & Recovery 10 Server for Windows and Universal Restore. I installed it on our Windows 2003 server with all components selected. I am trying to create bootable media but the wizard is telling me that universal restore is not installed. I checked in add/remove programs and everything is showing as installed. I have been trying for over an hour now to get through to tech support but so far no one has picked up my call. I am seriously thinking about calling customer service to get our money back if this the kind of support I can expect!!!

I hope someone from Acronis monitors these forums and views this post!

    ***EDIT***
I finally got through to support and found that this is a known issue that should be fixed in the next build. In the meantime they emailed me a link to download an .ISO bootable image that has the universal restore option.

    Hi Leo8888:

I also have the same issue, but with Backup & Recovery 10 Workstation.

The iso image created from within the program does not allow universal restore to be included.

I did notice though that when I created the boot disk using WinPE it was fine. I've only been using the WinPE boot disk because of its better driver support. The only 'issue' with the WinPE boot disk is it takes an eternity to boot up.
