Was searching around and believe I have the answer but going to post question anyway.

Does the scheduler HAVE to run to show that message at startup about the F11 thing? Also, does it HAVE to be running before trying to start a restore?

    Thank you

Not since it went ot recovery although is still has strong urges to do so.

You don't have to have any of the Acornis services running, but you should start them when you run ATI operations within Windows.

For a run down on what each service/process does, do a forum search -- this question comes up every month or so for the last several years.

Also, don't expect much change in how your machine actually operates if you stop any of the services.

    Thanks shieber,
Thanks what I had figured, both ways, that it gets brought up regularily also.

Just hadn't seen as "definitive" an answer as you just post posted. :D

I had already noticed you need scheduler running to do anything within windows.

I've used this program before, but that was WAY back when.
