Rogue slips right through Comodo!

There is maybe like 100 softwares on their whitelist.

Actually, the statement is totally correct. Every new release of CIS has an expanded list of 'Trusted Vendors', which, incidentally, not everyone wants.

 

That seems to be the makings of some unhappy Chappies ,all the way around.
Some, would like the pop-ups reduced,to an even lower level.
(despite the fact they are really not bad in the latest version.)
Others ether like the 'Secure" feeling they get from interminable pop-ups,or feel that any reduction reflects a coresponding reduction in security.
Interesting to see how they work that out.
It is a blessing for Conmodo that the faithfull simply: "Trust Melih!"

 

I am sorry that my response wasn't clear.
My challenge was to this last part of the quote: "it has much improved".
It has not "much" improved, and this is clear by the majority of related posts on their forum.

"Trust Melih" has been expressed as, "Trust Vendors that Melih Trusts!" and this is the problem.

A Trusted Vendor's software automatically becomes a Trusted Application, a poor and sloppy way of circumventing the pop-up problem.
CIS should have had the concept of Trusted Software and then create a database of the settings required for each software.

The smart way is having a whitelist of safe software in its D+ database to compliment the blacklist of malware in its AV database.

Please get your facts straight. The trusted vendors are given by the community, and Comodo listened to them and added them by default. (there are still many more to come)

I guess you like to answer pop-ups ? AFAIK CIS has a whitelist from over 2 million apps, so they are building such rules. The trusted vendors is a much simpler solution. Because it could simply make hundrets of rules to 1 rule.
