Outpost Pro and SandboxIE. Since running these two bad boys I can't remember anything 'nasty' actually getting into my machine :)

Any suggestions for 64-bit which I'm on right now? :doubt:

raven, I hear you. I packed the 64 bit Dell up for now and reimaged this 32 bit Dell I had. Seems Sims 3 would not play on it when my daughter first got it so I bought the 64 bit. Now, the assholes have done a update which makes it more compatible with 32 bit drivers. A $764.00 lesson learned but hey, what we do for our kids and I have a new computer boxed up.

Anyway with 64 bit, to me, the best with a good router would still be
    MSE and Prevx

And let me add one more that I cant test for now, would be Returnils 64 bit beta version. That may turn out to be the kicker for all 64 bit machines.

So let me change that for 64 bit

    Returnils 64 bit Beta
    Prevx

Hmm... but isn't Returnil simply reboot and *poof* all changes gone? (Pure rollback software.) I install new software frequently, so that would not be the best alternative if that's how it works - please enlighten me.

I dont know, ask coldmoon. It isnt all poof though, you can save stuff. All I am saying is that for 64 bit users, this is a BIG deal.

How do I get Windows Defender to run at the same time as MSE for HIPS functionality under Windows 7?

Maybe Kees will have some insight on seamless 64-bit protection later?

Not meant to... reasons, referring to my previous post, which you quoted:

    1. Main-apps. (that's '2' apps.) would be WD and MSE.

    2. Kees opinion on two security apps. to protect a system running a 64-bit OS.

    See? :D

Prevx and Defensewall for my vote. Those are my two "gotta haves" on my Puter.

If you just wanna stare at your screensaver all day then LUA and SRP are for you. :ouch:

If you wanna go where no man has gone before then use the first two apps in my siggy.

I agree and in my case it is Sandboxie and OA. Of course limiting the actions of browser plugins and keep updated goes a long way in keeping safe.

For 64-bit, KIS (has sandbox) and Prevx. But I'm using three programs (Avira, Outpost, Prevx) because KIS still doesn't work well on my computer.

The thing is, I just prepared my sig. - I never got WD and MSE to work at the same time. :ouch: :D - How do I do that on Win7?
