    Hello!

I am in the same situation, with the demo version and the same error message.
Please somebody can send me the iso file, for a bootable USB?

    Thank you!

Hello, I am in the same situation like some other people here, no trial but a full version with serial. If i try the Acronis-inside created bootable Media, i receive an error (translated) "Unable to load Linux-Kernel". I own a german version. If i try the "native Boot-Media" I found in the Acronis-Member-Area, the start options 1,3,4,5 and 7 reset the computer after the "~creating(?) RAM-Disk" message fills 3.25 lines with ".............." dots. I hope the iso-image (english version is ok) works for me too , so I send my serial to the Aconis Moderators. Thanks in advance! Greetings, Tom

    Hello,
Like other people here, I get the "unable to load linux kernel.." message when I try to boot from Acronis CD (True Image 10 home - Italian).
It only happens when my system is set in RAID mode, while it works fine with non RAID disks.

I sent a Moderator my serial via PM in order to get a working ISO image.

    Thanks in advance

    Massimo

    Hello Oleg,
as mentioned i tried the found iso in the meber area. Your sent file was the same, and it doesnt worked with any of the options. I initially thought it would help because i also use RAID as described in this thread.
I use an Asus P5Q-E. In the BIOS there is under Nortbridge Config a "Memory Remap Feature" / PCI MMIO Allocation: 4 GB to 3072 MB". This is per default activated, but manual says "only activate it for 64BIT operating systems".
Cause I run Vista 32Bit i deactivated it.
"Instead" i turned on the "Memory Hole 15MB-16MB". That was my mistake/the fault. I now read about the ISA-Memory hole, and deactivate it. All is running fine now! In either case: Thanks for your support! Hope my post helps other noobs o_O with the same problem.
    Greetings Tom

    Hi Oleg
I too have the Demo version of the software and cannot load the Backup ISO with "Unable to load linux Kernal" error, the version I have is Acronis True Home 2009 and I am one week into trial, if this new ISO works I will probably buy this program as it seems very professional but sadly this problem is letting it down badly and need addressing in the next update ASAP.

    Regards
    Charles

I need help now please as I cannot access my data without recovery.

    Hi All
I have now bought the program but I have yet to receive my CD and serial Key form a Trusted Official Reseller from the USA, I can supply my order details if this helps to sort this out.
I am not impressed that Acronis puts out free trial software and then knowing it will fail to run the Boot CD in a lot of cases, yet does nothing about the fact that its effectivly holding a gun to peoples head, as you cannot use the recovery options that its supposed to work with, so the only way to use recovery option, is to actually buy the program so as to get support that you require to effect a restore.

I am not trying to imply this is done purposely (or maybe I am) but it seems very suspect to a lot of people, as this is a known issue with a lot of modern PCs, so my question is why is it so diffcult to make a universal UNIX loader to use for recovery purposes "Lots of other companies manage this" and why if there are alternative ISOs that will effectively fix the problems is this not being released in updates eg latest update 9770 is months old with no fixes since release, when it is known that it has problems with certain chipsets and hard drive conditions.

I like the way the program looks and interacts, it is a very professional product, but to purposely deceive people to try your software when you know there are compatibilty problems that obviously have been fixed but not released is bordering on criminal allagations.

So now you have extracted 30 pounds of me for using your so called free trial maybe I will get some support?

Not too impressed with support so far
    Charles

    Hi Oleg,

I´ve already sent you a pm with the product key for the new ISO image. Here´s the detailed description:

Raid Controller: Promise FastTrack2650 RAID1 with 2x80GB HDD
    SATA TSST CDDVDW SH-S223F
    2xSATA Trancend 2GB Flash

causes the message unable to load linux kernel.

If I´m switching the TSST with an LG drive everything works fine.

I hope the new ISO image works for me. The product key is sent by pm.

    Thanks in advance,
    Volker

    Hi all,
Would be nice if someone from the Support answer to charly129.
It looks very strange, sending the correct iso image by PM, and having the bad one as official trial stops me from buying your product.
How can I trust you when I can't test your software because it doesn't work as expected?!

    Regards

    Peter

    Hello Oleg,

thanks for the fast reply. The image is booting but I´m not able to backup the harddisks connected to the raid system.

Because of I only do backups of the flashs, the problem isn´t that big, at the moment. But it would be good if the disks of the raid controller could be backuped too.

Here is the raid controller I´m using:
    Promise FastTrack2650 RAID1 with 2x80GB HDD

    Hoping for good news, regards,
    Volker

Hi thanks for the support Peter much appreciated

I will only ask this once then I will take this higher than anyone in support could imagine.

I have a serial number for this product and I am a fully registered member now I have bought and paid for the program.

Please can I have access to alternative Linux image so I can effect a restore to my PC please as soon as possible.

Failing a reply to my personal plea for help from support please be prepared to reap the consequences for lack of action as I have asked nicely in a reasonable manner more than once now.

    Best Regards
    Charles

Charly, if you are a fully registered memeber, why dont you easily download the iso from the members area, like mentioned in THIS threado_O?

I think a Demo/Trial/TEST-software is not intended to be used as a real life backup, and if u TRIED and TEST it, you would see at first booting from Rescue Media it wouldnt work. So you can/will skip the software and use another one (you wrote how good other vendors manage all imaginable hardware-constellations).

May it be that u used the software with a serial from the web and now are angry, because your cant restore the old system/data?

And, why you write "but I have yet to receive my CD and serial Key form a Trusted Official Reseller from the USA" and blabla about ordering information etc.? I bought it on electronic way and got my serial 1 minute after buying? I thought its urgent??

I am really satisfied with the support here, i dont think Acronis behaves suspect, the many people who "tried" the software and then at all costs need the iso because they have trusted the trial as only backup-solution (What did the used before? Why did they stop using their normal backup methods while TRYING an new solution), these people are suspect to me.

    Short:
Why you dont register correctly and download image?
Why using (were you USING or TESTING it?) a software that doenst work, as you discover AT FIRST test.
Why dont you use your old backup solution?
Is PeterSpoon another account from you?

Please excuse my bad english, i´m german.
    Best regards
    Thomas

    Hi TOM
Not quite sure how to take your post, suggestions or accusations

If before you post things about what I say or do you should think and have a look round maybe at my other posts you will see answers to all your questions or allegations.

but if you cannot be bothered I will answer you here

I got my serial number from the same source as you from the USA and Serial came 24 hours later after I had already posted the above post.

I do read and research before I post and I do know how to log into my account and get the alternate ISO, unfortunately if you read my other posts the account register info utility is not working for me as it accepts my serial as genuine but refuses to acknoledge it on the Acronis account so I have no way of getting the ISO.

Luckily I am English and we have ways of beating things that are difficult to crack and I have now restored my images by installing XP onto another drive and installing Acronis onto that drive and then restore the image to the original drive in windows so the boot cd in the end is not needed.

I dont use web cracked software at all and this system was a brand new build of mine with 3 x 2tb Raids so I had no "Other backup solution" to fall back on.

I have no Idea who peterSpoon is and I have no connection to him or her, Maybe it is a Mr Peter Spoon, this could be checked on IP and I will counter your suggestion with I think you may work for Acronis as seem to have plenty of mouth and inside info on the Acronis Media for a new poster, but I may be wrong which is why I keep my mouth shut and read before I post.

Please excuse my accusations, I am English
    Best Regards
    Charles

Hi Charles, you got it, it was both, suggestion and speculations (not only on you but on the mass of people with trial software problems)
Funny, i thought i read about your registration problems, but couldnt find it when i reviewed THIS thread!?!?(Did you edit the message??) My suggestion was to solve this problem first (for future use too!) and then download the image there.
But i deleted this section, cause i only could find the "i´m a fully registered member now"-passage.
Are you correctly registered yet? I think you will send Acronis support to hell if they dont make it.
Also and especially in the case of new hardware i suggest to use a well known software, or was it your first computer? What a pitty you lost data immediatley after you created the archive and couldnt test the boot-cd in between.
I know people who paid 1000´s of EUR/$ to hardware backup solutions and never tried a restore. They hope it will work if needed. I suggest to do not so.
And yes, i´m very tricky/subversive member of acronis (I am not!), cause my only posts here were before you entered the scene, (but i know you will/would :)) and i don´t think (or hope :)) that i will have to request more support. As i wrote i just was suprised how many people do a real-life backup with testing software and then their system fails before they could test it, and had no other backups.
Glad to hear that you got your data back, no matter that i didnt find the answers to my first three questions. But, tell me, i dont understand why I have "inside info on the Acronis Media" Where did you read that?? Anyway, have fun with this tool, i also like the nice interface and so on. And always remeber: validate every Backup, and copy it to ther places. My experience shows: If you really need it, the most worthful data cant be in enough places and enough harddisks(even outsourced!). But thats another story.
By the way: If you use RAID: Do you have a replacement motherboard (if you use not an external RAID-controller)? I saw my data going(for days until i had a new board with same raid-hardware) last year cause the RAID-controller on my motherboard failed. Like mentioned: Backup and backup and backup :)
    Best regards, Thomas

To make some things clear. I don't do real-life backup with a trial software! I have one machine for testing. The trial software should give me some idea how it works and whether I can rely on it after I buy it. When I test it and it appears it doesn't work as expected then I don't buy it.
    At the moment I'm confused.

And one interesting thing: when we look at the sticky thread "ATI Wish-List" we could see that some people add: "the recovery that actually works"... :doubt:
