I have one quite annoying problem. I'm keeping all HTTP logs in txt file but when analyzing newest logs, log window constantly scrolls down. So if I want to right click and select show client in IP explorer, I can not, because it keeps scrolling. I know this is because new logs replaces old entries in buffer, but still why this need to scroll constantly.

Is there a way to disable this stupid feature (to me it is a bug)?

I forgot to mention, auto scroll on/off icon does not change anything, for some reason. It keeps scrolling while new logs arrive...

Firstly, you can enable the auto save log feature.
Then you'll be able to read them in another new *.log files. It won't change.

Secondly, I've tested the Auto scroll. It works. Would please specify the circumstance when you figure it does not work?

Nelson thank you for your reply. I'm already auto saving but this is not helpful if i want to lets say open client in IP explorer. Yes I could manually find client in IP explorer but still you get the point.

About issue I have, problem is when buffer is full, and in point when new entries are replacing old one. In that point whole windows is being reset and scrolled down, or up I'm not sure. If you have time pls, download short move from link below. You will understand what I mean.

I uploaded a video to youtube and added some speech bubbles so it's easier to detect the problem. I recorder with and without auto scroll, not so much of a difference.

Pls, take a look, link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbQAitpakNo

Kevin, I see new version of Colasoft Capsa has been released (6.9 R2). Still, this problem persist. Do you maybe know when, with which version, could this bug be corrected?

Well, hm, I have already upload it to gigasize. But I think no one ever downloaded it. Anyway here it is once again...

    http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=y3cygw2yp5b

Notice that once screen is scrolled down, selected log entry is deselected and you can't find it so easily again due to constant scrolling...

    Thanks for the efforts.
We've checked the video and send it to the Test dept.
It is said this would not be deemed as a bug:
The entries can be hold in Capsa is limited thus they will be replaced once there are new entries inputed.
    My suggestion is:
You can stop capturing and then check the entries one by one.

I don't have problem with entry's disappearing, that is normal due to limited buffer size. But problem is that entry in the middle is almost not selectable as window constantly scrolls up or down without any control.

But that is where the problem is.
Then entries become unselectable because the buffer is full and new entries was printed and old entries disapeared and it cased selected entry been replaced by other entries rapidly.

If you have a new projoect with empty buffer, you won't see such thing.

Hm, but buffer is not instantly replaced completely isn't that right? If you scroll down to newest entries, lets say to the end of the "buffer", scrolling will again appear. Once when your screen is scrolled out of control, you can search for entry you are interested and you will find it scrolled in the middle.

Of course, before you click on that entry screen will again be scrolled and off you go to search option again... At least you have something to do all day, catching entry's inside of ongoing capture. :) :) You can even represent this as a feature, Apple would. :D :D I'm just joking.

Listen never mind, I will live with this bug. As you already told me I will stop capture and continue after interesting log has been examined.
