Are NOD32 V3.0667 and Online Armor having some kind of contest? There was an offer last month of a free paid version of OA and I updated. A couple of times now, my NOD icon has turned red and will say security is off. So I reinstall. First thing that pops up is that NOD thinks that one of the files from OA is a virus, but it doesn't give me any option to send the report - the warning just disappears.
I've got 3 installed again, and have dl 4. I turned OA off as it was messing with an update to my Garmin GPS. Once I turned OA off, I reinstalled V3, and told it to update. It did update fully. NOD has been installed on all our computers for the last 5 years. OA (free) was installed early last year, so it's learning process should have left NOD alone. I've never had this problem before. Would like some input before I complain to OA.
    Thanks,
    Weezy

Have you excluded OA from NOD and Vice versa?

If NOD is incorrectly saying that part of OA is a virus, it may be trying to remove it. Online Armor would certainly try to resist termination - which could cause issues for Nod.

What do you mean - excluded? Nod is allowed to run at startup and to call out whenever it wants to. I just turned OA back on, rebooted, and NOD's eye turned orange again. Now I'm scanning with 4 to see if anything else got in there. I was trying to dl the update to my Garmin. Since I use FF, I didn't see any difference in the downloader, but the file that downloaded wanted a security code from IE. That caused a major hangup since I won't use IE. It was after that hangup that the trouble started. Now NOD is chewing on the Garmin download and won't stop or pause. Will try another reboot

I think the problem is Online Armor. I just noticed the time of the update and it was 13:something hours which would make it about 1pm MDT. That's when it hit the fan. I installed NOD4, had problems, went back to 3.0667 and still had problems - couldn't connect to the internet. Turned off OA, and NOD worked fine and could connect.
Will post this on OA also.

Maybe you should consider using the latest IE which is IE8 in certain limited circumstances. Also do a search for the term excluded in the Nod forums as you should know what it means.

I've solved it. Somehow or other OA got into banking mode! Either the update turned it on or something else did as I have not changed any settings. Everything's working again. But as to why it was giving NOD fits, I still don't know.
