    Hi,
I have True Image Home 11 and am trying to restore my C: drive which requires a reboot or booting from the recovery CD, but neither of these boot methods can see any of my hard drives!

All it can see is my external drive with the recovery image on it.

If I boot into Windows (XP Pro) True Image can see all my drives normally but it must boot into the (apparently Linux?) version in order to restore the C: drive.

What good is this program if it won't restore on common hardware? (Gigabyte MB using onboard SATA ports, no raid or anything fancy.

    Thanks,

    MarkyM,

Try this workaround from a sticky.

    Thanks,

I contacted support and sent them the 2 reports the article in the knowledgebase said to send.

The next day I received links to an ISO image of a boot CD and image burning software.

That worked, but I really don't think this is acceptable.

Why should I have to wait (during an emergency) for Support to make me a boot CD that works when the program is supposed to be able to generate it for you ahead of time?

This a MAJOR flaw with this program and I will strongly consider something else if this is not fixed soon.

FYI...I am not using any exotic hardware or Raid or anything like that, just the on-board SATA ports on my Gigabyte motherboard.

    Hello all,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image

    MarkyM,

It is preferable to check the functionality of Acronis Bootable Rescue Media just after the program installation.

Also, you can download the same ISO file after logging in to your account (please note that you should register the license first).

    Thank you.
