    Hi one question i DONT ever want to download IE if i dont have to!! how would i go about downloading windows updates without it? is it possable?

    since vista windows update is its own application and doesnt need internet explorer.

    Wundows 7 E the version for europe doesnt even include Internet explorer.
    in other words you dont need IE to download updates.

    I think Win 7 will have the same update architecture as Vista i.e. updating without the use of the browser.
