You mean KAV(or KIS) :D In both cases I like your real time protection.

Hmm thinking about a completely new setup:

    Online Armor ++
    Prevx 3.0
    Sandboxie
    DefenseWall

...I still want a secondary AV in there, besides Prevx, but I'm not sure who to choose. Something VERY light. Maybe Vipre or Avira? I don't know :p Suggestions please :D

a light AV has been my conquest and ill tell u ESET was the lightest for me and Avast came in 2nd, but the Eset webscanner really irritated me cuz it was terribly slow and caused issues, so i went with Avast, keep in mind i was using Avira before and i can tell u ther is a performance improvement, but i will say the Avira webscanner was the best and fastest one ive ever used, so it has its advantage there.

ive never tried Vipre but ive heard good things about it.

I'm going to downoad Vipre now and throw 1 GB of malware at it...Let's see how it goes. If it passes my personal opinion I'll be happy :)

With webguard and mailguard disabled, you might aswell just use the free version..

Free version still does not cover some detections in the premium version :)

Where did you get this? They use the same engine, only the paid version adds a web shield and other things. See this post.

Ohh. I did not know that  I thought the Advanced Spyware was a separate component. Thanks for the info, but I'm just going to keep Avira Premium :p

I'd seriously consider running Avira Free if I could set predefined actions upon infection, but that's not the case, and even if I don't have any problem removing the notifier from showing things, it sure is not convenient that it's a part of the software from start.

MSE and Norton 2010 being available and around the corner, also being interesting choices and running good, it still makes it less likely that I would use Avira Free - even if my wishes came true. :)

    Why do you think that?

Because I don't know if Enhanced AntiSpyware NEW! is also integrated into Avira Free :doubt:

    Back to:

    AntiVir Premium 9
    Outpost Pro
    Prevx Edge
    KeyScrambler Free

The incompatibility with AntiVir and Outpost seems to have to do with AntiVir's WebGuard; I just turned WebGuard off and will report the problem.
