    Thanks for the story, Lonewolf. Personally, I am greatful there are people out there who can find stuff like this and then share that info with us common folks.

    FTP sends all data in the clear, even passwords and usernames, a sniffer could get them easily.

    I think that anyone who cares about security will be using SFTP or FTPS (FTP over SSL).
