Just for those still having any issues with the firewall module 1049, the new firewall module 1050 has been released. The test mode has to be enabled to get it.

Just update. always the same problem!

when i try to connect to my home pc (port 80) through the emule webserver, the firewall block the connection! :thumbd:

    firewall disabled= connection is ok
firewall enabled = no connection. In the log file i find this message:

    "26/06/2009 19.04.47 Detected TCP Flooding attack ***********:64662 **********:80 TCP"

Never had this problem before (the last week was all ok).

    I use ess vers. 4.0.437.0.

how can i solve this problem?

I dont' find the option "Detect TCP Flooding attack".
Do you mean the option "TCP port scanning attack detection"? in the IDS and advanced options?
    thanks

    No, don't disable that. Disable:

    "TCP protocol overload detection"

Funny not had the FW fail to load at start-up for a good few builds now, but 1050 has failed in 3 start-ups so far.

I do not have test mode selected but I have still been updated to this new firewall module. No problems, works fine.

if we have a firewall that's working perfectly, is there anyway to stop it being updated?

Does this one fix the stalled firefox when loading web pages. Same page will load straight away in IE8 and after several tries will load in firefox.

Always been a problem with version 4 although better than it used too be.

Thank you for this one! - It cured an intermittent system crash on one of my PCs that I suspected to be ESS related.

No hitches since disabling "TCP protocol overload detection" :)
