MD's File and Folder rules an alternative to sandboxie?

As Peter explained the malware only appeared to affect the real system,at no time did it actually do so.It only affected the sandbox.Any pop-ups or file alterations were at all times isolated within that sandbox.The purpose of Sandboxie isn't to prevent or block the actions of anything run within it (unless governed by the configuration settings).The malware runs just as it normally would,deleting,encrypting,adding,etc.(or rather it thinks it does.)

 

In fairness it can be hard to get your head around that all the folders,files and reg. entries,etc. spawned by a sandboxed application are not really on your system despite the fact you can see them with your own eyes. It's best to think of the sandbox as being a sort of partial VM.

Presently, I don't have CIS protecting that particular folder. I did it just for the sake of testing.
