Recently deleted BOClean after many years usage and about to delete SnoopFree. Considering replacing them with DefenseWall. Currently running Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Version, and SuperAntiSpyware both realtime. Also running MBAM and RootKitRevealer on demand. Utilize both Returnil and Sandboxie. In your opinion will DefenseWall be a good replacement for BOClean and Snoopfree? Or, again in your opinion do I really need a replacement? I can now pickup DefenseWall at half price on May 29th thanks to a members recent posting. As always all replies and recommendations will be appreciated and I will thank you in advance for your reply.

    Hi,

i think DW will be very good replacement for your current configuration, another thing is that you can get them for a half normal price which is really good deal :thumb:

Is "Defense Wall" a suitable replacement for "BoClean"?

I've been using "BoClean" for many years but support for the
    stand alone version just ended.
You now have to install the entire "Comodo security suite" in order
to use "BoClean" and I don't like "Comodo Firewall".
It's too hyperactive for my taste.

    I downloaded "Threatfire", http://www.threatfire.com/ but haven't
installed it yet. Is it comparable to "BoClean" performance wise?

    Just curious.

    I'm currently running:

    "Avast!" Anti-virus
    "PC Tools Firewall Plus"
    "BoClean", (To be replaced.)

I also run "Spyware Blaster", "SUPER Anti-Spyware" and "Regseeker"
    occasionally.

I'll run "IceSword" if something is suspicious.

    ZOINKS!;)

I would consider whether you need Defensewall if you are also running Returnil and Sandboxie.

If you use a non-IE browser, then you could relegate SAS to on-demand and then just run SAV in real-time with Sandboxie or DefenseWall with Returnil as backup. IMHO you do not need DW if you already have the paid Sandboxie.

However, if you are thinking of purchasing DW then trial it before the offer day and see if it suits your setup.
