    Your choice, maybe someone else can give you advice on a software one, but I'm totally fine with properly configured hardware. Saves me hassle and bandwidth.

    Does the latest Acronis version have a trial ?

    I'm very satisfied with version 8. But later versions have become more bloated, and probably more complicated. And you should also make sure that the external harddrive (for imaging), BIOS, imaging software are compatible with each other and your computer.

    So I have decided on the following setup, what do you guys think:

    Prevx
    Antivir free
    Online Armor free
    WinPatrol
    SuperAntispyware/Malwarebytes/SpyBot
    Acronis

    Am I covered with this setup? Is any of it superfluous?

    I downloaded it but it locks up my web browser and lags. If you have any advice on how to remedy that I would be happy to utilize it.

    For Acronis, trial it first. Do a backup and restore make sure it work for you. It failed me before, but it work for some other users.

    I agree. Acronis seems to either work great or not at all!
