I've done suggestions I've read online that say disable Network Location Awareness .

When they hang I can reboot and unplug the network lead and it goes right on just fine.

This is related to ESET as this just starting happening when I rolled them out.

It's very sporadic and only when the systems are restarted.

I wasn't aware there was a new client so I'm trying that right now. I'll be sending this out some today and the rest this weekend.

I'm really hoping going from 4.0.314 to 4.0.417 will fix the issue.

    rlu929s,

Version 4.0.437 is out. Did the last version resolve the problem ?

    Cheers!

I have over 1000 machines in my domain, and I can tell you that I am having EXACTLY the same problem ALL over the place. With 314,417,424, and the latest 437. Our roll out of Eset has been very frustrating. From this problem to the problems with ERAS not allowing clients to get updates EVERY single day. I have to clear cache on the mirror server all the time to even keep it running. This particular problem with machines stalling at Applying computer settings is a very frustrating one in the fact that it will start happening to random machines at different times. I end up spending the majority of my time running around restarting machines in safe mode and uninstalling Nod32 to resolve the problem. Also, it goes without saying the frustration of version 4 locking up all my servers, even with all the recommended settings applied. I have contacted our vendor to process a refund of our 3 year license purchase. I have given tech support an opportunity to correct some of the issues, and they wouldn't even do that. ESET..... what has happened to youo_O You are NOT the same company you were years ago IMO........
