McAfee-HELP- exclusions

    can someone who runs McAfee give me step by step instructions on how to exclude a folder from detection A friend is having trouble because Artimus is pulling a file out of his game (false positive) and it blws the game out (actman.dll is the file) thanks in advance...

    You cant.
    Mcafee doesn't have exclusion feature of folders.
    Tell him to send the file to virus_research@avertlabs.com with false positive in the subject,and he'll recive an extra.dat file which has to be copied where the.dat files are located.
    I had a FP issue with them sent mail on Saturday ,received the answer with the .dat file in 4 hours.Good support

    What version of McAfee your friend is using? You did not specify when asking for help. I'm using VSE 8.5i, you can do an exclusion to folders. It's under On-Access Default Processes Policies. Select the Exclusion tab and add whatever you want to exclude out.
