Who here actually uses mixminion? And does anyone have anything to say on how anonymous it is? What is more likely to be traced an email sent from mixminion or a connect over tor?

Why do you compare mixminion to the use of TOR, and not to mixmaster? Mixmaster is quite consolidated, easy to use (check quicksilvermail) and extremely efficient at making you anonymous.

I hope I have been helpful.

Perhaps a better question would have been, what is more likely to keep a person anonymous (with user sets and everything else takin into consideration): setting up an email account which is only ever accessed with Tor, or sending E-mails through mixminion (and checking inbox with Tor).

I don't like mixmaster because you can't reply with a SURB.

Mixmaster users usually post answers to anonymous emails on boards, encrypting the message with pgp.
The use of quciksilvermail is extremely simple, and is secure by default. You need no tuning to make it work the correct way.

Also, why only consider TOR and not some VPN provider or JonDonym?
