    Hey guys,

Would you have any idea why the sound in flash isn't working? I mean everything else works, music, video files, games and what not... I'm at a lost with this one.

    Cheers,

Thats because you had earlier installed x32 Flash which installs nsplugin and that interferes heavily with x64 Flash. I suggest you remove all traces of nsplugin and then give it a try.

    Hey there,

No I didn't I'm on a fresh install of ubuntu since last weekend on ext4. Flash plugin is the x64 installed from the download.

Sounds has never worked over flash on this machine.

Actually Creative cards have issues, try my solutions that I sent to you via MSN and see if they work out.

    Hi,

I did notice these poste with Pulseradio but I won't bother. It was just simpler to replace the my Creative Audigy SE with a different Creative sound card.

    Problem has been fixed.

    Flux,

If all had your approach, it would be a much better place, some have unweildy h/w and keep blaming the OS, this is a better approach for sure.

Well I could have spent a few hours figuring the problem out. But after playing around with Pulse and ALSA, OSS. There was no point. So the next step was just to swap the card out with something different which wasn't listed as problematic.

After that you get rid the audio library's alltogether and then recompile and load them for the new card....

DING DING DING... we have a winner.
