    Hello, all.

Am having a little problem with a new installation... SBS2003 server, running ERAS and ERAC versions 2.0.110, and NOD32 AV 2.70.39 and XMON Module 2.71.9 on the server itself.

The mirror function on 2.70.39 is disabled, as I wanted to update the NOD32 v3 PC clients and 2.70.39 on the server using the built-in HTTP server in ERAS. The license file is valid, the update username and password is correct, and 'Virus signature DB version' on the General tab is current. On the Updates tab, 'Create update mirror', 'Provide update files via internal HTTP server', and 'Create update mirror for NOD32 version 2 products' are all checked. All clients can see the ERAS, and vice-versa.

But the mirror directory isn't being created. The folder to store the mirror files is set to 'mirror\', the default, but nothing is there in the ESET directory, and no directory called mirror is anywhere on the server. Therefore none of the clients are being updated.

This is a completely fresh install. I'm stumped. o_O

If the update is failing, where is that log kept?

    the mirror folder should be in c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\eset\ ... \mirror
logs are stored in those folders too
double check if you put your username and pw correctly in console. also when updating client with nod32 v2.7 - path to update server is http://servername:port/nod32v2

Ahh, there it is! And it's updating. Thank you. :D

One more problem, the nod32v2/ directory within it is empty. The log contains the line "<UPDATER_ERROR> Nod32v2 mirror update failed, Error downloading, code : 6". Any idea what a 'code : 6' is?

try to delete all the files and folders in mirror folder, then click Update now in console again.

I think I'll leave it as is. I changed the NOD32 v2.7 on the server to get its updates directly, rather than from the mirror. It's the only v2.7 install on the network, so I'm not saving any bandwidth. And the v3 mirror is working for all the other clients, so all is well. Thanks! :)

I have 2 remote admin servers. One with a license of "Antivirus Business Edition" and one with a license of "Smart Security Business Edition". On the first server I have the same problem. On the server with "Smart Security Business Edition" I get all the update files into the nod32v2 directory. There is a call open but I've got no answer.

same problem here... the mirror/ folder updates just fine but the nod32v2 folder remains empty and generates this error message.
Contacted dutch support and they said it could be possible that the update servers are busy.. sounds to me they don't know it either.

    any ideas ?

    regards

A fairly large component update (17mb) was released yesterday and I am guessing it really swamped the update servers. I would keep hitting update now and maybe give it a day or two.

The 17mb was "Module" update ... not component update :(
    Eset rebuild the ENGINE0 (old ENGINE0 + ENGINE1)

    Regards

From ERAC, try going to Tools -> Server Options -> Other Settings - Edit Advanced Settings

Then from the Configuration Editor, ESET Remote Administrator -> ERA Server -> Setup -> Mirror for NOD32 version 2 (notice it is a separate branch)

Check the options there, it is possible for it to be configured with a different update server source than the v3/4 mirror.
