upgrade from windows7.7077 to 7.7100 disabled the eset drivers

    Microsoft has said that upgrading from a Windows 7 build to the next one is not a realistic scenario. You should install from scratch and check if the problem is still there.

    Perhaps you should read through this before you take that rumor as fact

    Note he also says that that is not the best idea. As you already have 7.7100, I take it you are either an MSDN or Technet subscriber - did Microsoft offer slightly different advice to subscribers than us chattering classes?

    It is also possible that somethiing became corrupted rather than broke in the upgrade, which is causing Eset to fail. I have read reports though of other software that accesses core parts of W7 that worked with the beta and now fail in various ways with the RC.
