The new part is that it is and will be a FREE service.

And Yes, the 2009 Panda Products are Cloud-Based. In the 2009 paid products, Panda calls it Collective Intelligence.

ance, I thought the same, but so we don't have any A v B, things might just have to focus on Panda.

I used their web based activescan awhile ago, was quite a good scanner, picked-up a few threats on the work machine.

Those who have liked Panda previously, and its detection rates, but disliked the resource usage, this should suit a fair few.

    Pretty slick/basic GUI.

Those rogues, not defending 'panda', but they get past most AVs. Unfortunately. :'(

So, this thing also has a on-access scanner or is it meant only for on-demand scanning?

You will be notified in six hours or so (after the in the cloud analysis is completed), chances are you won't be able to connect to AV sites :D

    Re: Cloud AV

My concern is that if this indeed IS a cloud-based product, even if the malware is completely new, it should block it automatically just because of that - if it's of dangerous origin.

Resource usage and any conflicts when having other Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware products running?

Wonder why they've not changed that in their ONLINE help in that case... :doubt:
