i will have to agree that we might get a little carried away if the three new candidates are signed on. Maybe we had better let them go for the better good of the mission. Well you wont see linux on my computer again. I just got through doing a full format and restore. That is the last time I will allow linux to screw my computer up.

    From Bigc:

Did you have two systems installed on the same computer o_O I'm glad that you solved your problems but it's a shame that you had to format though. I hope that you were able to save all important datas and programs.

I bet that I have 200 back up cd that I have burned. I can do a complete format and restore in an hour and a half and most of that time is waiting for xp to install. I had four operating systems installed Two windows and two linux. Now I just have my custom version of xp pro and it really is quick without all of the other junk to contend with. This version of xp doesn't even come with audio drivers or a media player or much of anything. I like it like that so I can pick the apps I want and don't have to get rid of the old junk. :D ;) *puppy*

Well, it's good that you have backed up all important stuff!
We're never too cautious. ANW, having many operating system must be very resource-demanding for the pc. o_O I think it's better to have just one ! :) I have Media Player and I have Winamp too. They complete each other. :D

My comp can handle the resource load but the linux os's have a habit of screwing something up so they are gone never to return or at least till they are a bit better than they are now. I also have media player 9.0 and winamp. But I liked the choice of this xp version to put in what I wan't not what someone in some office thinks that is what I ought to have. :D ;)

If linux is used as a server to run all the periferal computers it usually works well. If you installed it as a stand alone desktop I hope that the back up comp is set up and working

Holy Citrine! I'd be uptight if I lost my minerals data.

    Captain

Bodyguards or not, we would need a double force field if those 3 are on board. :doubt:

Wise decision! I'm sure those guys were not too aware about scientific explorations and engineering. Unless I have misconceptions. o_O

Well that will come in handy if we meet up with any criminal aliens, and we won't have to worry about the food supply either. :D
