    Yes this is a great extension. Thx Although this extension loads the next pages too early for my taste.

    The extensions that I always install right away and are worth mentioning:
    FireGestures
    Really amazing what you can do with this. You can practically control your whole browser and even go to certain pages with just a few sweeps.

    Password Hasher
    Hashing password and such for optimal security.

    Be sure to check out: http://labs.mozilla.com/projects/

    The extensions i perceive as must for a while now:
    AdBlockPlus with Element Hiding Helper, Unplug (not sure about the latest 2.x), Update Scanner, Linkification, Wikilook, Add to Search Bar, Context Search, Fire Gestures, Organize Search Engines, SearchLoad Options, Session Manager, Stylish, TMP, Scrapbook (considering Scrapbook+), EZ Sidebar (no more AIOS).

    Security related : NoScript, CS Lite, RefControl, Perspectives, Better Privacy, Customize Google.

    Other Extensions that could make it to the former list:
    Brief (only a few feeds), HttpFox, Ghostery, FlashGot, Download Helper, Fast Video Download, DOM Inspector, BugMeNot, Aardvark, Termblaster, UnMHT, Unoficial Google Translate Firefox extension, User Agent Switcher, Yet Another Smooth Scrolling, Zotero, File Title, TableTools.

    Do you really install all of the above? That's a lot memory to go for the browser. How AES Encryption and Cache Status?

    yes i have them installed,
    only takes longer to load the browser, its a real advantage having all the addon.
    takes a bit of memory around 150k , every often i clear the cache, i use the maximum display on my eee pc.

    if dont have the addons i would need other windows tools to make up the addons

    In Ubuntu I am down to just two.
    Firegestures and adblock plus.
    Those are "must have" for me.

    Amazing how useful Stylish can be.

    I removed the throbber, and added Combined Stop, Refresh, and Throbber buttons! instead of just stop and reload. Clicking the throbber stops reloading.
    Added Hide Progress Bar from Statusbar, and tweaked Sliding Text & Icon Menubar for Firefox 3 to remove the icons and use Iceweasel's favicon. This one hides the menu, then when your mouse hovers the Iceweasel icon, the menu appears:
    menus-closed.png
    open-menus.png
    IMO much better than Personal Menu extension, or Autohide menubar tricks.
    The stop/reload/throbber button:
    reload-stop-throbber.png

    Stylish is basically the same as using userchrome.css, only you can enable and disable stuff individually, with a good UI and without restarting Firefox/Iceweasel.
    You can do things like changing statusbar/menubar/tab height, removing context-menu items (...)
    I even added http://userstyles.org/ to my search bar :p

    Linux specific, KDE4:
    I'm using Strata Human theme right now (simple and nice), with this fix for KDE4:
    Code:
    @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
        menulist {
          -moz-appearance: menulist !important;
        }
        .menulist-dropmarker {
          display: none !important;
        }
    Credits
    Save it as a new style and name it whatever you like - something descriptive, like "FIX - themes cause dbl combo box arrows"

    Explore this tool well!

    Another advantage to Stylish which i forgot is the ability to Preview the style you're about to import, or your tweaks / new styles. Editing is a breeze because of that.
    Doesn't need to be fancy things, just tweaking status bar's height for instance is made easy and fast with this preview facility. 5-preview, 3-preview .. :p

    Imglikeopera

    I haven't tried it myself.

    Instead, I made a custom toolbar button to toggle images on and off.

    The maker of Toolbar Buttons 0.6.0.5 (an add on that adds over a hundred toolbar buttons to Mozilla apps) has a custom button maker on his website.

    If your interested, the Toggle Images button is in the second column, about 2/3s of the way down the page.

    The button simply toggle the option in Firefox found here:
    Tools/Options/Content/Load images automatically.
    It just allows you to do it without digging through the menus.

    Firefox also allows you to add exceptions to this rule.
