Is there any portable AV available?

    Didn't know about the Norton Security Scan AND Clean - will definitely be one of my choices. :D

    Other than mwav is there any other cleaning tools that can be run from a usb stick that have a bultin updator?

    A-Squared does. It even has a command line scanner. So for tough infections, I just make my USB DOS bootable and add A-Squared Emergency Stick file on a folder. It solves almost every problem :thumb:

    Alternatively you can look at rescue CDs like that of BitDefender and DrWeb which have updater built-in.

    Are you refering to an automatic update scheduler, or manually invoked incremental updates?

    manual updator.
    so that i can keep a tool on my usb stick and update it without having to redownload the whole tool again.

    i forgot about the drweb live cd.
    gonna burn that now.
    Im gonna try creating Ultimate Boot CD for Windows it has asquared on it.
