I still haven't received the latest update.
Am I the only one or are there any problems with it?
    Thanks.

Apparently there's some problem with update servers. I also didn't get this update, and when I manually try to update I get 0kb/0kb no need to update bla bla... Any official response from ESET?

    Cheers,
    Miki

I received it on only 15 out of 1300 computers. My update servers did not receive them yet. The ones that did are only a few of the ones set get updates automaticly.Waiting for a reply from ESET.

You're not alone, since I'm having the same problem, and ESS 417 still shows update #3994 and so far is not updating to the current one.

Hurray!! Just noticed that update #3395 has finally been installed, after several hours of delay, so now all is well with the world.

I have 3994 and when I try to update manually it says no new updates are available (or whatever the wording is). No 3995 here either.

Why should there be o_O? ESET do not respond to problems, just bury their head in the sand. Look at the number of posts here to the current large problem.

You must have missed the e-mail that went out. To get 3995, you have to stand on your head and twirl around 3 times and then try a manual update :D

Joking aside, it's probably a temporary glitch and I hardly think it is anything to get worked up about - I'm sure the defs will update in due course and it will be business as usual

lol. Only it was after the second twirl and the download started. In all seriousness, after 10 mins of posting my message I did another manual update and I now have 3995.

The latest huge update 3995 has been staggered, should should receive it with a little delay, depending on the server load. Those who update v3/v4 on a regular basis, should download 17-times smaller update file than users with older versions or v2 users.

It's an engine update with detection improvements. The firewall module will be distributed after it's been thoroughly tested, we really don't want to risk problems so module updates must be handled with utter care.

me neither, still with 3994 :(. I keep getting 0kb/0kb when I trigger manual update, meaning it doesn't perform actual update check. Seems like I cannot connect to servers. Of course, I get "you have latest version...." message.

There is 3996 available, but I'm stuck with this one.

    Cheers,
    Miki

Could you please PM me your username and the program version number you use? Have you tried updating manually several times so that the program would connect to different servers?

Finally did it! Update was 968kb. I have ESS v4.0.417. But still, when I trigger manual update I get 0kb/0kb, instead of 3kb, like it always did until yesterday. I use automatic update settings, didn't change it. I guess servers are quite busy.

    Thanks Marcos.

One other thing: why there's no info about this "new engine update and possible server issues" on ESET support page, I mean, at least it should be there as an announcement.

    Cheers,
    Miki

I too had problems in updating eset 3.0.684.0 (my version) from 3994 signature. Kept trying to update manually several times either getting 0/0kb or 3/3kb and the "virus signature database is up to date" even though i checked the website to find that 3995 signature had been released some time back. Not sure why this is happening... any ideas? btw, my signature is still stuck at 3994 in spite of forcing manual update every few minutes...

Be patient. It is a large update, and it's probably still replicating on the ESET update Servers.
