I just noticed that when Smart Security v4.0.314 did its update this morning some of my core elements were downgraded. Below is a list of whats installed and what was installed yesterday.
    Yesterday is in red.....
    Virus signature database: 3983 (20090402)
    Update module: 1028 (20090302)
Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1204 (20090401)
    Advanced heuristics module: 1092 (20090309)
    Archive support module: 1092 (20090324)
    Cleaner module: 1040 (20090401)
    Anti-Stealth support module: 1010 (20090302)
    Personal firewall module: 1043 (20081111) 1044
    Antispam module: 1011 (20090114)
    SysInspector module: 1211 (20090325)
    Self-defense support module : 1005 (20081105)

Just curious if there was a reason for this...

Could you confirm or deny that you didn't enable test mode in the update setup by chance?

Did you have the beta version installed before v. 4.0.314? If so, did you uninstall it prior to installing the final v. 4.0.314?

    Please do the following:
    - export the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security to a reg key
    - compress the content of the ""C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Updfiles" folder

I'll drop you an email with information where to convey these files.
