    Hi

    I have ESS v4.0.314

I want to block some IP or Port for my PC

For example I want to block completely this IP for my PC : 218.61.33.117
(I don't want allow any application connect that IP)

Or I want to block some ports

How can I do this in Smart Security?

Open eset window>>F5(advanced setup)>>Personal firewall>>Rules and zones>>Zone and rule editor>>Setup>>Create new rule:1) Give the name for the rule then 2) select which direction you wanna block(In;Out;Both) 3) action must be "Deny" 4) by default protocol is TCP&UDP 4) then go to the Tab named "remote" and add your port and adress.

If firewall is set to the automatic mode, the button for "Zone and rule editor>>Setup" will be inactive. So you need using one of this modes: Automatic with exceptions, Interactive or Policy-based. The best for you, i think, for now is "Automatic with exceptions". To change mode go "Open eset window>>F5(advanced setup)>>Personal firewall" >> filtering mode.
