i guess KIS2009 & PrevxEdge is enough.....and I hardened my sandboxie settings (limiting what can Start/run, activating Drop my Rights, Block Access on my Data).

Type "about:config" without the quotes into your address bar. Then search for "browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone" and then right click that entry and select "Toggle" to change its value to false.

All on my sign 100% Free.

Replace comodo V3 with Online Armor V3.

    Good point IMO :
    - Easy to setting
    - French Version

    Drawbacks :
    - Less efficiant (Than CIS, matousec test).

Never been able to get on with SB and have found SD to be fine if surfing off piste. what would you say were the benefits of using SB as well as SD ?

Doesn't it annoy you whenever you have to reboot in order to turn off SD after surfing off piste? Just curious. o_O

No - it does sometimes annoy me when I forget. most of the time I remember to commit but I have been known to forget.

I tend to reboot many times every day - eg when I go to get a coffee or a beer - and I do run a number of machines so can work on another machine while one is rebooting. Hopefully one day soon it will be just a matter of a mouse click or 2 to turn off.

edit - just to check - I downloaded and installed avira with shadow mode on - ran avira and it found nothing. where do you guys fined all the nasties ? if so much is out there why can't I find anything and have some fun ?

Agree with Long View. You could easily run just Shadow Defender, and to be sure, then run a prevx CSI scan on your system/downloaded files.

    Takes two seconds.

Sig and Sandboxie. Most AVs just have a certain issue that is different with all, that just irk me. After trying Dr Web again, none of these quirky issues exist. It is simple but secure and does what I need, never would have thunk it, but its true.:thumb:
