Avira free auto update?

    I have been testing this one out and have yet to see it actually update it self it seems to always have new def's when i do a manual update though? is there setting i am missing?

    i have every thing set up right i think in config the lowest it will go on scheduler is 1day/24 hrs, want it to UD more often how do i change this?

    search was no good...

    I just put the free version on a freinds PC I cleaned up. I dont think you can change it from 24hrs to less. Others that use the free version maybe able to help more.

    Used to be able to just create multiple schedules and have it update several times per day if you wanted. Don't know if you can still do that in v9 or not.

    Hmmmm so it will do two updates per day? if setting it that way,i can't see why this is so difficult to do,AVG worked like a dream with out doing nothing.

    Thanks :) ,,yea seems like a great product if i could figure this auto updater out i'd be all set...lol.

    you can set the free Avira to update as often as you like, I have mine set to check every 3 hours.
    Go to Administration > scheduler, and then New Job.
    Select update job, then for interval select "daily". it will then give you the option of choosing what time of day you'd like. Simply repeat as often as needed :)

    I see ok,,too bad one has to do it that way(hard way) but i guess it'll work. ;)
