My AntiVir license expires next month, and I am considering moving to ESS, since web browsing is faster with ESS.

    1. Has Eset clarified what the HIPS is?
    2. Does version 4 seem to be on par with AntiVir in detection?

    Hello,

    1. ~Deleted response and sent a PM to the member - Rmuffler~.

    2. Our release of V4 took place earlier this week (3/2/09). The organizations which conduct testing and produce ratings are most likely doing so with V4 now that the product has its' production build and is available to the public. We can say that the detection has been improved with V4 as it is with every new build of our product. V4 can be trialed, purchased or downloaded with a current v2.7 or v3.0 license from www.eset.com.

    Thank you,
    Richard

    Hello elapsed,

I am currently asking our engineers for information. I understand that this is a feature that many customers have asked for in the past. Once I receive an answer from them, I will share it here.

    Thank you,
    Richard

I have a feeling it's more that ESET are keeping their support engineers "hanging" because they don't want to leak the "surprise". Like I said in the other post, it's obviously an incoming feature, ESET need to decide what version it's going to go in...
