    Heh

Too many machines. You realize how many hard drives/partitions i have integrated into various boxes? It's all i can do to keep up with the new releases rolling out every week, not to mention updates. I'm a one man operation here and ultra multi tasker in juggling malware research hunting as well as testing security programs in different groups to try and find that one that stands above them all without having to go back to the old ways of heaping multiple apps, :D

You do hit on a good idea though Kees1958

I'll see if i can break some of these apart in some sensible order as to unit 1 = these apps, unit 2 = other apps, etc. to make it more transparent for members to form an opinion on or even copy for their own set ups

    So thanks for the idea

My PC's going bonkers now ever since I ran Norton Removal Tool

I have no idea what's going on :doubt:
PC randomly freezes, somewhat like when a virus hits your PC

Now running a full scan using MBAM.

Well heres another thats one for the books.

    Avira 9
    ProcessGuard (with all protections enabled)
    Mamutu (Paranoid Mode)
    EQS (Alcyon's Rules)
    Kerio 2.15 (Custom Rules)
    CHROME PORTABLE!!!

I HOPE THEY DON'T BUMP AGAINST EACH OTHER WHILE MONITORING. LOL

    Testing this Theory tonite!

Like fcutdat one of my partitions got power drived by something vicious today and ended up restoring with a DS image backup. I like to try that again with this combo.

Well I wouldn't do internet banking on the same computer I go to the dark side with. However it looks like your well equiped security wise.

I can't help think since i'm still XP Pro that AE2 would throw the final fence around my basic setup i mentioned a few posts up. I did find out that it's needed to keep EQS closed at StartUp to prevent Avira 9 from hanging/stalling up because EQS has to "think" and while it does that with Avira running READS/WRITE scans it gums up matters. On the other hand, ProcessGuard works great as does Mamutu with Avira 9.

At least with AE2 it wouldn't be so much monitoring as EQS.

NEW SETUP: added threatfire, removed DS

    Real-Time:
    - Avira PE Premium 9
    - Threatfire
    - Winpatrol
    - Rollback Rx

    On-Demand:
    - SAS
    - MBAM
    - SpywareBlaster
    - Sandboxie

this is a test setup, and soo far, other than the lack of deny option in TF, it doesnt seem that bad anymore for me, finally works with mys system and doesnt crash anymore. TF is pretty light when using the system, although it adds a bit of extra time to startup which i hope they fix.

Don't give up, just go on hold with regard to TF. I been frequenting their forums and i'm going to see if they live up or not to all the feature requests users asked for and bug fixes as well as the very long awaited, "DENY" option.

Also expect complete stability but since it's a work in progress (i hope), maybe this time they'll hit the right chord all the way around. (holding breath)

i still believe3 in TF's potential, but they gotta iron out the bugs and stability and DEFINETLY put in that DENY button!! if they get those down, it shuld be very good.

but for now im back to where i belong, with Mamutu :p every path seems to lead back to it eventually, hehe.

Having my games as well as other apps not launch is a big deal killer for me, the process for the game wuld start but nothing would showup, so its definetly gone, least for now.

Everything is working fine now with mamutu :D

i can't afford to buy another PC, thats why i'm asking a suggestion if KIS2009 and Sandboxie is enough with my browsing habit.

i want to add prevxedge, but it works almost the same as KIS.

i want to add DW, but i already have Sandboxie.

any suggestion to add more protection to my existing security set up will be appreciated.

i read lots of negative feedback re: keyscrambler.

i guess i'll just keep KIS2009 (with high security level on files, memory and web traffic) + Sandboxie (with configured Outlook, Forced Program and Block Access to my data drive)....i hope this set up will help me to prevent keylogger.
