I have been having problems, which a driver update may solve. I have Home Version 9.0 and need to know: if the update is applicable to prior Acronis software or only the latest?

What "driver" update are you referring to, or what is it that you are having trouble doing?

The USB drive gives error: USB device not accepting new address = 2 (error 110) from recovery disc. It could be that I need new Linux drivers. I have a download from Acronis for ATI 11 drivers, but will these drivers work on ATI 9?

No, you will need to upgrade to a newer version of TI to get an updated Rescue CD.

Alternatively, you could create a BartPE boot disk with the TI 9 plugin and add the necessary drivers to that disk if you can locate them. Since the BartPE disk is a Windows environment, you would need only Windows drivers, and XP may already have them, so none will have to be added.
