    What exactly is the problem?

    I was expecting an increment to be created last night, but acronis decided
    to overwrite the full backup with another one. Is the same thing happening
    to you?

    I'm using build 9709.

    i chose incremental because i had already a full backup. nothing happening. the log said: idle
    by the way you have already 9709, though i am registered i can`t download it. it always keeps claiming, that i should register.

    the german page has still 9646

    Hello errut,

    Thank you for using Acronis True Image

    To resolve the issue please do the following:

    Please make sure that Acronis Scheduler2 Service (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services) Startup Type is set to Automatic. Otherwise, please set it to Automatic yourself and reboot your computer.

    If the issue persists, could you please do the following:

    - Download the file;
    - Start the Command Prompt from Start -> Programs -> Accessories menu;
    - Run the following commands in the folder you saved the file to:

    schedmgr task zap
    schedmgr service stop
    schedmgr service uninstall
    schedmgr service install
    schedmgr service start

    This should delete all Acronis scheduled tasks on the PC.

    You should manage your scheduled tasks from the scratch.

    For the German versions build # 9646 is the latest one for now.

    Thank you.

    i hope i understood you correctly: open command prompt, execute schedmgr.exe- get new window and run above commands. which i did so.( saw some errors and unknown commands).the acronis scheduler2 service was on automatic.
    after all that when starting a backup the following error message comes up:
    error #1722 - "the rpc-server is not available(0xFFF0)

    how do i prevent planned (scheduled) task? i never scheduled one.

    PS: the acronis scheduler2 service is on automatic, but it cannot be started, because it doesn`t find the path.

    Hello errut,

    Thank you for using Acronis True Image

    Code:
    saw some errors and unknown commands
    This note is useless to figure out the reason, in the future please try to provide us with the exact errors.

    - Please download the file and save it to C drive (C:\schedmgr);
    - Start -> Run -> Type "cmd" command (without quotas);
    - Downgrade the path to C:\. You should type "cd.." command (without quotas). Enter;
    - Run the following commands:

    schedmgr task zap (it will be C:\>schedmgr task zap). Hit Enter.
    schedmgr service stop (C;\>schedmgr service stop). Enter.
    schedmgr service uninstall (C:\>schedmgr service uninstall). Enter.
    schedmgr service install (C;\>schedmgr service install). Enter.
    schedmgr service start (C;\>schedmgr service start). Enter.

    Manage the tasks again.

    Thank you.

    Thanks again
    after the first command: error#1722 /0x6BA) - the rpc-server is not available.
    the eventvwr.msc :acronis scheduler2 service was not started because of the following error: the system cannot find the indicated path.

    is it of importance that acronis is installed on partition d, not on systempartition c?

    dcom-server started automatic
    rpc-locator started manual
    rpc-call started automatic

    Hello errut,

    Please do the following to resolve the issue:

    1. Download Acronis Scheduler, which is a special utility to update;
    2. Extract the downloaded file and run install.bat. The utility will automatically update the service;
    3. Reboot the machine;
    4. Recreate the scheduled tasks.

    Thank you.

    i have to bring this threat up again: i am still suffering idle runs.
    i have reinstalled the programm and it work for a while, but now i have idle run again. i think i have to look for a different product since it is very uncomfortable to reinstall it each time in order to have a working backup-machine.
    all the meassure above didn`t help.
    the build is still 9646 for the german version.
